The Book of Genesis:
"Everything New"

Genesis is the story of new things. It begins with the  account of God's creation of a new and perfect world and the origin of the human race. It continues with accounts of man’s fall into sin and his “new” life outside  God’s garden. The account of Noah is another account of a new beginning. Further chapters are accounts of the Abraham, Isaac and Jacob which speak of a new nation chosen by God as the people of promise. [Read more-lesson schedule]

What We Believe

In an age of ...

  • ...anxiety, we believe that real peace comes from Jesus Christ.
  • ...confusion, we believe that the Bible is the word of God without error.
  • ...doubt, we believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  • ...guilt, we believe that Jesus died on the cross to remove the power of sin from our lives.
  • ...hopelessness, we believe that Jesus rose physically from death --and so will we rise.
  • ...skepticism, we believe that God is at work in the sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.
  • ...despair, we believe that God promises to heal and transform us.
  • ...violence, we believe that God calls us to embody his love in the world.
  • ...constant change, we believe in the unchanging Holy Trinity --Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
